Square or Round Tables?

Hi everyone! I know the norm is for round tables at a reception, but I came across this picture and LOVE the look of square ones.




What do you all think?  I'm trying to find ways to make my wedding just a little different but still classic.

I personaly prefer the look of round tables, and the larger square tables, like in your PIP, are a close second.

If you like the square tables, they will look great, and be a little different than the round.

I think they're fine and not really all that different from round tables as far as guests being able to talk.  Does your venue offer square tables though?  I wouldn't pay extra to rent them if your venue already has something else.

I like square tables just as much as round. Go with whichever you prefer.

I'll end up with both at my venue.  Only thing is the square aren't very big, but it would cost $$$ to rent more round.  We get 10  60: round and they have 15  30x42 sort of small rectangle

I'm not a fan, but if that's what you like, go for them.  I wouldn't pay extra for them though.

Not a fan. Unless your wedding is super-fancy, I think it's really easy for square tables to end up looking like something from a college dining hall.

I like square/rectangle tables.  They are a change of pace, usually take up less space, and are sometimes easier to decorate.  Martha Stewart has been featuring tons of square and rectangle tables in her wedding magazines and I think they look very chic!

I think it depends on the overall style you are going for.  The square I think is more modern chic.  The round is classic traditional.

I personally perfer the round but one benefit I see with the square is if you have a small amount of guests you can put them all together to make a row or L shape to feel more initmate.
