I need a little help on where to host my wedding/reception. I feel stumped in so many ways. I want my venue to be indoors, cozy, be able to hold around 200 people, allow me to do my own catering and not cost several thousand dollars to rent. I thought about country clubs but that costs a lot and I would have to use their catering. I don't like ballrooms because they are too spacious, I thought about bed and breakfasts but they don't hold the amount of people I would like. What sounds really ideal to me is a barn wedding, however, i live in the beaverton/Hillsboro area of Oregon and it seems that the closest barns for rent are about 3 hours away. Does anyone have any creative wedding reception locations that they think fit my bill, or any suggestions for how to locate one? (or if you know of a barn near me that would be awesome as well)
