St. Thomas Wedding - Frenchman's Reef Marriott?

We're just in the beginning stages of planning and would really like to do a destination wedding. The timeframe we have in mind is early October. It's going to be very small and intimate; ideally a beach wedding and informal reception afterwards.

Has anyone had (or been to) a wedding in St. Thomas? I saw pictures for Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Resort and fell in love. Any info/advice would be much appreciated!

Re: St. Thomas Wedding - Frenchman's Reef Marriott?

  • I'm also looking to have a small and inexpensive wedding, but it seems impossible!  I'm pretty sure you dont need a passport because it is a US territory, and many hotels (like the Frenchman's Reef Marriott) will take care of the paperwork for the marriage license for a fee if you work with them...

I've been trying to figure out whether or not doing it all myself or working with a hotel is cheaper, but they seem to be pretty comparable.  Anyone have any info?
