Bridal Shower

Is your bridal shower women only or is it co-ed?

I know a lot of people do women only, but I'm kind of thinking I want to do a co-ed one.  My baby showers were all co-ed and they were a blast...  Is that odd?  Would guys not want to go?

Re: Bridal Shower

  • Mine is going to be co-ed. Most of my guests are from out of town so I probably wouldn't have a lot of people attending if it was just girls. The bachelorette party can be girly!

  • I have no clue lol my bridal party is keeping the shower all hush hush at this point hahaha! The only reason I even know I'm having one is because my 3 year old niece ratted her Mom out lol we were cuddling and she turned to me and said "Matante, I am going to your wedding and wearing a pretty dres BUT only after I go to the party Mommy's planning where we give you gifts" LOL
  • aw Britt, that's adorable!

Mine was girl only, it was fun and really girly.  I've herad that "man-showers" are catching on.  A guy registers at Home Depot and Lowe's and those sorts of places and has a shower for him.  Sounded interesting

I had a girl only shower...back in the day lol...but I registered for stuff for our house and Lowes gift cards for my XH. His friends wouldve never come to something like that so I guess it depends on his friends. I did have a co-Ed Bach/bachelorette party when we rented a hall and had food brought in and my band played for us. That was fun!

  • I'm having 3 showers..... Aw, yeah... Anyway, two are ladies only and one is co-ed. I think it just depends on what you want.
  • I love co-ed showers !!! They are so much more fun to me lol. Mine is only girls b/c my family is hosting it (aunts/cousins) and I let them pick what they wanted.

  • We have two co-ed and one girls only. I think it mostly depends on your family and friends. My FI's family one is co-ed with all of his guy friends. The one with my dad's family is co-ed, because most of the cousins I hang out with are guys.

The one with my mom's family is girls only because her church is very male/female segregated and they don't really even know my FI. My mom specifically asked if I could come by myself for the shower (it's a 9 hour drive) so that I could stay at her house. Guess she thinks that my FI and I can't even sleep in the same house even though we live together. Oh well. I think I'm in a pissy mood today.

  • I am having 4 showers.  1 is co-ed, 1 is a work one so I assume guys can come, but I work for social services so I can't imagine there will be many guys there, the 3rd is girls only, and the last one is in Nebraska by FI's family.  It is going to be females only but FI is coming with me since we are driving all the way out there and since I won't know very many people.  I like the idea of having FI with me, but I know he isn't to thrilled about it.  I also think that having a mix is nice so that I get one really girly shower!
