NWR: Vacation/ Road trip....

FI and I have been really stressed lately with work so we were trying to plan a vacation for the second week of September, but we are having trouble picking a location. We need some thing a little on the less expensive side due to saving for the wedding and issues with his car.  Any ideas ladies?? TIA ladies!P.S.We would prefer some where we could drive to

I love Austin, and I also love San Antonio (the riverwalk at least).  I think New Orleans was a good suggestion too.  Would Memphis be too far away?  Come to St. Louis for our GTG!

The Hill country has some great B&Bs. They even have a few that have spas, and there are some great wineries. If you don't want to drive-the airlines are having some good deals. I just bought our tickets for Chicago (from Houston) for $179 RT for an October trip.

FI and I just drove from DFW to Shreveport to see my BFF.  We had a great time.  They have a really nice boardwalk area and a bunch of riverboats.

FI and I just went to San Antonio for my aunts wedding... and we had a great time on the riverwalk!! And the drive really isn't THAT bad (as long as the traffic on 35 stays down!) Shreveport would be fun too! :-)
