There are SO many funnies from my trip, but I’ll give you guys just a few laughs… -There was more than one guy sporting a speedo at the late night pool parties -After the reception, we hit the bar/disco and there was an outside stage area with entertainment. My friend Gina was drunk and just got up on stage, grabbed the mic from the lady performing and announced that her friends just got married and we needed to be on stage. Next thing you know, me & Brian were called up on stage by the lady and danced. Meanwhile Gina sat down next to the keyboard player and “helped” him play. -We didn’t eat the cake (it was kind of gross) but just used it for the “cake cutting” and fed it to one another. My brother thought this was a waste and took it from the ballroom and brought it to the bar. Somehow it ended up on the floor for a “cake dance.” My best explanation for this is that it was like a reverse limbo where people would dance over it. Mind you, this was not just my group, everyone at the bar wanted to get in on the action. -My father had a big speech planned for the reception that he had in a laminated sheet. My mother didn’t like it and edited it by literally covering it in post-its. She found it unedited about 15 minutes before we were to walk down to the site and starting flipping out that it was “grounds for divorce” that he was giving a speech just from his point of view and not from both of them. She was dead serious while me, the 4 girls and Leah are all dying laughing at it. (not sure if this is a “had to be there” moment) -I was really concerned about the boys forgetting the rings. At the moment during the ceremony when she asked for the rings, there was dead silence for what I thought was a full minute. I leaned over to Drew (Bri’s bro & BM) and gave him a look and he just smiled really big and said, “oh, you want the rings.” He intentionally held out just for a laugh (and my reaction.) There are about a million more, but these were just off the top of my head. Hope you had a laugh.
