Do We Pay Entrance?

My FI and I are planning on a Disney Wedding. At first we were considering the Cruise Line but due to personal family stuff (my dad) and then realizing that everyone would be on our honeymoon with us (awkward!), we wouldn't be able to get away from all of them. Anyway, we're almost set on doing the wedding and reception at WDW. I kind of want to spend 3 or 4 days with the guests (to make it worthwhile) but I was wondering if we should pay for 4 day passes and hotels or just the passes or let them pay for the passes and hotels? I want to treat them to something nice but I fear that will cost much more than expected. I mean, for 75 guests, the 4 day passes (without park hoppers) will end up being around $17-18k.Would it look cheap to do one day passes and let them pay the rest? They also have to consider transportation from Jackson MS.

Re: Do We Pay Entrance?

  • I agree with PP... In most cases, people plan on paying for travel and hotel. I think if you paid for the park passes that would be awesome, even if it was just for a day or two. I wanted a Disney wedding and I am so jealous of you!! :-)
  • I am also SOOOO JEALOUS of your Disney wedding!!!  I'm a HUGE disney fan (siggy name - tinkerbell fan - go figure...) Actually, my whole family is.  FI tolerates my disney obsession, but he's not quite a fanatic like me...  I would have loved a WDW wedding!!!!Oh - and one day passes (without park hopper) are definitely enough if you can afford them... there's plenty to do around the "world" without park tickets - downtown disney, PI, tour the resorts.  One day will get them into whatever park they want to go to on a 3-4 day weekend trip.
