Normailed!!!

I totally forgot that you're not on ND yet, I feel like you should be over there already!!  Anyways... I'm heading to Denver this weekend!  My bf is having a baby (tomorrow she'll be 2 weeks overdue!) and the whole point of the trip was to see her and the baby, but now I'm facing the very real possibility that she may be in the hospital or just coming home from it and might not be up for visitors 24/7.  Sooo... what should we do?  I've never been there and have NO idea what to expect or anything!  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.  We probably won't have a car all the time, we might be able to borrow my friend's car, but I don't want to plan on having it.  TIA girl!

  • Oh...I'm gonna be in Michigan...if not I will drive you around. Well...as far as things to do: - Downtown is pretty. And the 16th street mall is kinda cool and you see the people playing drums and reding cards and all that jazz. And there is a trolley that takes you up and down the street if you don't feel like walking.- There is a Six Flags if you guys like that kind of stuff...I do, Nick doesn't.- I like the zoo and the acuarium, but then again, if you guys like that.- I've never been to the botanical gardens, but I've heard people raving about it.- There are also the galleries and museums downtown, if you guys like art.- The Coors factory tour in Golden (if you guys are into beer). You get a few beers for free, the tour is free as well. And it's not only Coors they have Killians and Molson and other stuff. You will need a car for that. If you go to Golden, you shold eat pizza at Woody's- Colorado Springs is awesome! You should go up to Pike's Peak and see the Garden of the Gods. There's also the Manitou Cliff Dwellings, the Cave of the winds and the Seven Falls around that area. You will need a car for that also.-Estes Park is amazing, but it's kinda far. I have some pics in my FB of a recent trip there. But it's hard to go and come back the same day.If none of those sound like a good idea, let me know...I might be able to come up with some more ideas.
  • BTW...I really wish I was staying in denver this weekend. It will be awesome to GTG with you.
  • Awww... I wish you were going to be there too!!  It'd be so fun to meet you!!!  Those are some great suggestions!  I think we will definitely try to hit up the Coors brewery and the gardens, and the mall probably too.  What about night life?  Any bars we should try to go to?  Or cheap restaurants??  Thanks so much for your help!  Now I feel like we'll have something to do if we can't see my friend!
