A bit of an odd question for you...

I don't make it over here enough and though this is a bit of an odd question, it's for an article, so I'm hoping that you can help me out.Are you (did you?) taking some extra measures at your reception so that everyone is comfortable with the volume of the music? Perhaps you’re specifically sitting your 95 yr-old grandmother away from the speakers or the band. One bride even told us that she provided ear plugs to some specific guests because her reception was at a location where the sound really traveled (maybe a bit excessive, but it was a considerate thought…). If you have thought about this or are planning anything like this, please post below. As always, it’s appreciated. TIA.

Re: A bit of an odd question for you...

  • We have thought about it, in so much as, depending on the weather, instead of just continuing the party under our tent, we will be moving the dancing part back to where cocktail hour will be, which is outside.  This way, if the older crowd wants to stay and mingle under the tent, they can, if they want to join the party they can, and we won't be having the music TOO loud as we have neighbors at the rental to consider.
