Destination Wedding Shower Ideas?

I am dropping in to ask for your help, I just got married in August and now i am throwing a wedding shower for my cousin.  She is getting married in Costa Rica in Feb and I want to do the whole "tropical" theme for the shower without getting into luau.  Do you girls have any ideas for me... specifically shower favors?  Did any of you guys have really cool favors you would like to share with me?  Thanks I really appreciate any help you have to offer!

I know a popular favor right now for DW showers are personalized luggage tags. Oriental Trading Company is a good place to look for fun tropical decorations & favors...not sure if they have luggage tags though. Julie (Miami Bride) just had her shower and they did a really cute flip flop cake for her. It was adorable. She might have pics in her bio. HTH!

I was just at a shower for a girl honeymooning in HI.  They did Beach bucket centerpeices with beautiful roses in them, stuck the bucket to a round piece of cardboard, glued sand and seashells to it.  Made it beachy, without being luauish. Also, might be cute to do a wishing well of travel related things they might need.

Sorry to make another post....I don't mean to hijack. But I had to ask about your veil....it's gorgeous! Is it all lace? Where did you find it...or did you have it made?

Thanks Alison for all the nice comments on the pic's and the veil!  I cannot wait to get the rest of the pictures back... should be any day : )  And yes my veil was all lace and I did have it made.  I bought the lace and my seamstress made it for me, I didn't want a tulle veil and the lace just seemed to work for me!

Wow...your pics are gorgeous! As for your question. Luggage tags are cute favors (I did my own, they are on a post on the second page called Weekend Checks).Other ideas are Palm Fans which are cute too or maybe Cookies shaped like Hibiscus or any other topical related item.

I'm not sure how many people you would be expecting, but perhaps tshirts or koozies or keychains would be fun with some sort of catchy phrase (sorry I'm not more creative to think of the phrase)...  You could also look on oriental trading company for favors.  Blissweddingmarket.com has some great handmade palm favors also like little palm purse bags:  http://www.blissweddingsmarket.com/store/beach-wedding-favors.htm
