Flights: I think I'm losing my mind?

I have been compiling info on flights for guests, basically everyone wants to fly nonstop to Cancun if they can. I went onto Yahoo Travel to get prices. I am gathering this info based on 2 people traveling.Does this make sense?Flight to Cancun - $424 per person (says per person under price)Flight returning home - $424 per personOk so I go through everything, select the flights, make it to the page where they tell you your total and it says total for everything - $849.50. Even where it has this total, next to it in parenthesis it says ($334.00 per person). I kind of want to cry because I have done this like 5 times now and it just doesn't make sense. I keep rereading the total information, that is the total for both people, not per person. Am I being dense today? I just don't understand. It seems like it should be $849.50 per person if the flights are each $424 per person??????I'm going to cry.I feel like something isn't right, either with me or Yahoo, and I'm giving out bad info.

Aw.  I'm sorry you had a rough moment but I'm glad you figured it out!  I was thinking $849.50 is outrageous!  I have those moments too where I wish I could just hide from everyone.  I hope your day gets better :-)

Jamie, it's a deal where it's $424 per person for both flights, not per flight. Like a package deal.

I too suggest using another website like kayak.com to check on the flights. And I do like booking with Orbitz now that the have no booking fees and price assurance.

Thanks for the encouragement ladies! My brain is having a day off today :)I am definitely urging guests to shop around for flights & hotel prices. I was mainly using Y! as a bouncing off point so people could get an idea of how much it will probably cost at the most.

I feel like this is one of  those math problems from high school:  A train is travelling northbound at 100 miles an hour carrying 6 watermelons.  What time does the engineer go to the bathroom?Ugh - I hated those math problems - my eyes are crossed trying to figure this one out...
