:::: Princess Bride & other New Knotties :::

The Knottie Knot The knottie knot was something thought up by the girls on the DW board. This knot is a symbol of our friendship amongst each other, as well as a good luck charm that is passed from each DW bride to another. It's nothing elaborate, but rather a simple piece of rope tied in a knot. What makes the knottie knot unique is that each bride is asked to take a picture with it and attach a postcard from her destination with words of encouragement or advice for the next bride. Currently, we have 8 knottie knots traveling to weddings around the world. If you would like to join in on the excitement please feel free to e-mail Michele at shellicabo@gmail.com with the following information: knottie name, email address, full name, mailing address, wedding date, departure date, return date and phone number Thanks to everyone who has previously administered the KK including Lisa/SgtEriksWife, Kristyn/VanordKM, Meg/Ms.Beachbum08, Amanda/zoegirltx, Ashley/AshleyCharee and Sarah/Sevilla2008. • Thanks for posting this Shelli!  I was just about to respond to Princess Bride's comment that you were the KK guru and could explain it best.  :)
    Anniversary
  • :) No problem! Danielle actually emailed me and told me there was a question regarding the KK so I had to come look. I think I posted this on Friday, but I know there are a lot of Newbies so I thought I'd re-post.
  • Thank you so much for explaining this. It sounds like a wonderful thing to take part in. I'll keep this in mind. I'm sure my wedding date is a little too far off to be planning this but I am definitely going to take part in it for sure. You're going to think I'm weird but when I read in that other post that there was a torch being passed to each other, I had visions of like a tiki torch of some sort. After seeing the pictures now it makes a little more sense. What a close knit group of ladies here.
  • PrincessBride: Not a problem at all! And, yes, it's a great tradition to be a part of!! I can't wait until my time comes!!! For a new person reading that GTG post, I can understand where you might get the fact that it's some sort of "torch". I laughed when I read it through your eyes, because I would have probably thought that same exact thing!!! And yes, we have an amazing group of gals here, and as you saw by that previous post with the picture, we do have what we call GTG's (get together's) often! Hopefully you'll be able to meet up with some of the East Coast gals and even us West Coast Knotties when your time is closer! :)
