I love it! A friend of mine did it and the only problem was the wind and it was blowing ALL over the place so she placed rocks on the side so it wouldn't.

Wow...It looks amazing so far!! What type of paint are you using? Or are you using those acrylic markers? I need to make my Thank you Parasol and I'm not sure what's easier to work with...

Iris - Too funny.  I would do the same thing, especially today.  Is it Friday yet?Gina - I'm using acrylic paint.  However I've hear of people using markers.  I have to say that it's a little difficult painting the fabric, especially in narrow spaces like the &.  The paint seems to build up and the fabric isn't smooth enough for the brushes.  So it takes a lot more patience than it should.  I assume the parasols would be easier though because they're made of a light weight paper.  GL
