NWR: Weekend fun

It sounds like some of you ladies had fun weekends! This past weekend FI & I went to Denver to visit his best friend. It was really fun, and much needed. We were there from Friday to Sunday, and it was kind of a "bachelor party" weekend for FI since his best friend (and BM) can't come out here before the wedding. We went to visit a couple breweries, went to a gun show, shooting, ate buffalo burgers (yum!), and just hung out a lot, catching up.The one WR thing we were suppose to do - get the BM measured for his suit - we (I) totally forgot to do. So he is suppose to get that done this week on his own... we'll see when it really gets done :) lol.The weather in Denver was perfect! It was gorgeous, blue skies as far as the eye could see. We both really love it there. The only damper on the trip was our flight home, I'm pretty sure I was very close to have a nervous breakdown / panic attack while we were taking off. That's never happened to me before, ever, so I don't know what the deal was. It definitely has me very nervous for our flights to Cancun now, though. Other than that the whole trip was great!

  • Yeah it was really fun! I love FI's best friend & his wife, who live out there. They were so accepting and open to me from the very beginning of our relationship. I haven't known them that long, because I didn't meet them for a while with them living out of state and all, and now when I see them I feel like we've known each other forever. It's very cool to have people like that in our lives.I think I'm going to talk to my doctor about the flight situation and see what she has to say.
  • Yay! Sounds like an awesome time! And sorry about the flight..booo! What happend? Was is a rough take off or was it you just nervous?
  • I'm not sure what exactly the problem was... I have noticed that the last few times I fly I feel anxious for the first 20 minutes or so. This time there were these two little kids sitting in front of us who would not be quiet. I'm not trying to sound like a wench, but they were really grinding on my nerves. They kept getting louder & louder, the dad had headphones on so he couldn't hear them until they got really loud. I think the combination of normal nerves + the little kids yelling was just too much or something???
