**Future.Mrs.H**

Hey There!  I was checking out your wedding blog (which is awesome btw).  I want to do the Passport invitations, but curious how you made them?  I was looking online at some companies but wasn't sure if i should dig in and do them myself or not. Also, how did you make the custom stamp for your envelopes and the monograms?  Any help you can give would be great!

Re: **Future.Mrs.H**

  • Thanks! The passport invites I DIY using a template. They were a royal pain in the butt to make, but I'm very happy with the result and since I only needed 7 I decided just to do it myself. It took me a lot of time to design and also it would have been easier if I didn't glue the picture to the cover and just make it an extra page, but I did.The stamps on the pages of the invite and the one on the envelope I designed myself. There are a bunch of templates for those and some tamplates have them already, but I wanted it a bit more personal. Mine have the exact dates we are going to be in the city and the one on the envelope have the city we are getting married at and the date of our wedding. I made them in Power Point and Publisher, but you can use Word too. It's a matter of making ovals or squares using your "auto shapes" and inseting "word arts" or "text Boxes" with the information. The fonts I got from dafont.com...I think the names are Rub This!, Stampede and SA Inkspot. Plus other normal fonts. The monogams I make using Power Point, Word, Paint and/or Photoshop. The fonts from dafont.com and the shapes (palms, seashells, etc) are dingbats from dafont.com or cliparts. If you search for passport invite or passport invitation, you will find templates and turorials. If you have more questions, let me know!
  • Thanks for the response.  It seems like you did a TON of work, great job! :)
  • Thank You! Let me know if you need a template for the invites.
