So, not only am I a bride to be next May, but I am a BM in my brother's wedding next Feb.
Here are the important points of the story (FYI this is a vent lol)
* My brother's been married 2 other times before, this is lucky #3
* Our family was not involved in those weddings as he has a tendency to meet women, fall in love, be all about them, want to get married, we disagree for whatever reason or think he's rushing (bad bad choices) so he distances himself from us and gravitates towards his 'new' family and then gets hurt in the end
* This new 'wife to be' is 22, he's almost 40...and age difference aside, she's just super immature. Talks like a baby, acts like my nephew is her little brother rather than being a step mom...I have had no one on one interaction with her and when I have in family gatherings, etc. she's telling me she can't wait to have a new sister and loves me (already??)
Anyway, they didn't come to the wedding of another close friend who used to be close to my brother also. Said 'they had to work' but now that they're engaged they want everyone to come to all of their events..they even had a 'non hosted' engagement dinner and didn't offer to pay not even for parents.
Am I justified in being just a tad bit annoyed at this whole situation? It just seems like they're playing house
