St Thomas

So I am considering a wedding in St Thomas and I have started to do research but I'm a little overwhelmed...I am fairly certain that I will need a wedding coordinator down there, but I don't think I want to go through one of the big resorts. Any suggestions on places to stay, people that were good wedding coordinators, or sites that were extremely helpful?

Good morning, I live on St. Thomas so I hope I can help.  Before we switched our wedding to a destinatino wedding we were going to use a company called Weddings the Island Way, their website is www.weddingstheislandway.com. Whatever you do, DO NOT use Fantasia Weddings, I have heard nothing but bad things about them.  There is also http://www.islandblissweddings.com and I have heard some great things about them as well.  Places to stay include Marriott Frenchman's Reef, Wydham Sugar Bay and Best Western Emerald Beach.  If you need anything else, please let me know.

Hello!  I just returned Sunday from my destination wedding cruise.  I got married in St. Thomas.  I used Island Bliss Weddings and they were awesome   I communicated with Janelle via e-mail for 5 months and she always responded within 24 hours to all of my questions.  The officiant Stuart exceeded our expectations.  He spent a few minutes talking with my husband before the ceremony about our relationship, and then he personalized the ceremony like he had known us for years, mentioning how we met, when we got engaged, and our sweet doggie.  He even went out of the way to drive us to a scenic point overlooking the island and took some pictures for us.  Since we were getting married alone, he suggested that he call our moms on a cell phone which he held so that they could hear us getting married.  And, after the ceremony he took us to the courthouse so we could leave with our marriage certificate rather than having to wait a month for it to be mailed.

The location we chose was Lindquist Beach, which is a smaller, more secluded beach and it was absolutely beautiful.  Many people use Magen's Bay, which is also very beautiful, but I decided against it because it is a popular tourist spot.

Hi I am getting married in St Thomas on 10/10/10. We are using Island Bliss Weddings/Janelle. Recently she lowered her prices for 2010 as well!! We are also using Eric Johnson from Paradise Pictures check out his website. He is willing to work within your budget as well. And finally i highly recommend vrbo.com for condo rentals.

I'm getting married in St. Thomas on April 27.  I'm also using Janelle from Island Bliss.  We are staying for a week at a villa (Sea Star Villa) and having the reception there after the wedding on Lindquist. If you don't want to get married and stay at a resort (I didn't) then check out the villas available on St. Thomas.  They are amazing.  Good luck!
