What I would/wouldn't do again

We were able to take a trip down there over Labor Day weekend to meet with everyone face to face.  I think this was priceless for us.  With having so many moving parts and no coordinator, we needed this time to meet with the priest, hotel, welcome dinner peeps, etc.  This groundwork for us made everything SOOO much easier.  If you aren’t going through a resort with a package – I would strongly recommend making a trip before if you can.

I wouldn’t worry about so much!  It turned out perfectly and I didn’t need to feel like I should micromanage on the day of – I should have delegated more and given less though to where things would go and how they would turn out.

I would completely DIY everything over again!  I am so happy with the way the décor turned out.  The table arrangements were great, the menus were cool, the favors were appreciated and awesome.  I would use the ipod again and use the photographer again.

I would do the OOT bags exactly the same!  Everyone appreciated everything and used almost everything also! They loved the ornaments, the bottle openers, the sunscreen, the water, and on and on.

I would do assigned seating for both dinners… with 46 people, the welcome dinner seating became somewhat of a cluster and I showed a little frustration and stress.  It turned out fine, I just could have saved myself a little aggravation with trying to seat everyone myself.

I asked DH what he would do differently or better – his answer “eat more rum cake.”  I love him so much!
