wedding coordinator rant

I have been in contact with this lady since sept and I am getting married in March.. it is 82 days away and she has yet to get us an officiant. I understand three months may be a lot of time to her but to a bride trying to tie up loose ends it seems rediculous. I emailed her to urge her along saying that I want to have a wine box ceremony, and she replied saying that she isnt sure if the officiant she normally uses will do that kind of ceremony because he is "spiritual". I feel like she should have asked what I want. My FI and I are not religious and therefore do not want that kind of ceremony. I have also asked her numerous times if she will be there the day of to help set things up and she seems to miss that question on every email that I send her she never answers it when she email back TWO WEEKS LATER if not a month... umm hello isnt your job to answer my e-mails? and... on top of it all... she calls me by the wrong name... which is on every single one of my emails that I send her.. how hard is that? okay end rant..


Should I just ask for my money back? and find some one else?

I definitely wouldn't have had the patience to put up with her as long as you have! My WC writes back within 24 hours at the longest, usually within the hr anytime I ask her, and goes out of her way to make sure everything is handled as soon as possible, especially if its something I express concern about.

This might be because I'm neurotic and have zero patience.  But I would tell her that since she didn't live up to my expectations I want my money back.  Her calling you by the wrong name is completely disrespectful and poor business standards, she can't learn the names of her clients??  I flat out told my vendors I expect an acknowledgement email within 24hrs of sending one, just something that says "got your email, will get back to you later".  One told me she couldn't do that so I walked away.  A DW is stressful and you need to have 110% faith in your vendors, they are your eyes and ears when your thousands of miles away.

PS...If anything happens like this to me, I hope that Lindsay will call them for me.

yeah....I had to call and apologize to the company that sent Britt's ornament.  I'm a hot headed redneck-Italian.

Wow, okay I wanted to make sure that I wasn't overreacting. Thanks guys, I am going to call her today and try to explain what I expect. Thanks for the support.

Agreed - the same thing happened to me with my AHR venue. She never responded to emails and always missed questions that I sent her. We are finding a new place this week and saying goodbye to her.

At least my Costa Rica coordinator responds to emails within 24 hours. Even if she does not have the answers right away...it feels good to know that they are working on it.

Can you find someone else ?

Okay, so I CALLED her last night and apparently that is the ticket. She was great on the phone answered all of my questions and was very helpful. I think maybe she is just not an e-mailer. Which really in her perfession she should be... but whatever. At least now I know that if I need information I need to call her. I feel a lot better. Thanks everyone for your input and support. Sometimes its just nice to know I'm not going crazy.
