MH/Madam

"Do you know anyone with a timeshare?"  - Yep, you do, me.  I've booked a few things for friends in the past, so if you guys want me to check whats avaialble in the caribean or anywhere else for certain times, let me know.  I normally just have the friend reimburse me for what my pts cost me, and pay the $59 guest certificate fee so that it's issued in their name.

Any timeshares available for May 5-8th in Key West?! I know we spoke about Disney before but we are pushing that back..

My ILs have timeshare too.  That's why I suggested it :)

I will keep you in mind though for next time!  Thanks.

Will do.   If we run out of pts in any given year, there are always these things called "extra vacations" too that you can purchase separately and assign to a friend/family.  It's pretty cool.  I got Oscars old pet sitter 2 weeks in Disney (not on the grounds, but right by Universal instead) for $700 last year.  Retail for that hotel was like 3k.  She was happy!

That is awesome! You can FB me if you want, too! Thanks for looking into this. We may still be doing NCL, but it's nice to have options to consider!

Happy - I've had an ongoing search set up for myself in Key West too actually.. nothing yet.   I've always wanted to go there.  Theres apparently only a handful of timeshares in Key West, so it makes it difficult to find during peak season.  If I see anything I'll let you know

Madam - Yours should be wasy easier to find since you have flexible itinerary..  The only thing I suggest with timeshares is not to do an AI, the AI fee ends up costing as much as the whole hotel would have been to book on it's own.  So, if you're okay with a non-AI you can get some great deals.  Let me find you a few examples and post them.

    Madam -
I found some rooms at the end of the June in the Grand Mayan, Rivieria Maya which is not an all inclusive and has good reviews.   Here are the dates/options (some are hotel rooms, some are 1 or 2 bedroom suites):

Heres the reviews on tripadvisor, and I checked pricing and it looks like a week in June on travelocity/expedia/priceline runs about $1000 for a hotel size, and $2000 for a 1 bedroom suite.

That same 1 bedroom suite for 2k would cost me more like $900.
