RIU Negril - Handicap Accessible?

My fiance and I are planning a destination wedding, and we're really interested in RIU Negril. The web site and our travel agent both have told me it is handicap accessible. My mom is disabled (full time in a wheelchair, unable to walk at all) and I really want her to be comfortable on this trip, so I'm trying to take every measure to make sure she'll be able to get around okay. Has anyone been to this resort? It is truly accessible? Thank you in advance.

Hi! I'm sorry I don't the answer to your question but I wanted to tell you that's where I'm getting married! We leave on Saturday and get married next Thursday. If you have time to decide I would be more than willing to let you know when I return.

I was there in May of 2008. It is such a great resort, by the way. Everything was pretty accessible from my memories. All restaurants were ground level as was the lobby. The area where they do the performances has a few steps to sit at the chairs and tables, but they also had tables all around the perimeter. 

I would just ensure that she has a room on the ground level.
