stressing!... informing guests of wedding weekend info

I would like to inform my guests of wedding weekend itinerary, group activities, attire, local attractions, restaurants, etc. (I have already sent my save-the-dates, so I really hope I haven't totally screwed up my communication to guests already!!) Any recommendations on how to send the supplemental information? I was thinking maybe a wedding website might work. What do you think?.... and if I do a website, how should I let guests know about it now that they already have their save-the-dates, an e-vite to the website or something? Totally stressing about this!

Re: stressing!... informing guests of wedding weekend info

  • A wedding website is a great place for that sort of stuff. You can always send out an email to your guests with the link.
Otherwise, a lot of people have made a brochure (or "welcome packet") with that sort of information and mail it to their guests ahead of time.
  • I did a wedding website and then also mailed out a brochure with the information again and the link again.  I wanted to kill with information!! :)

  • Web sites are great for this stuff. Plus you can update as needed and even have a comments section so people can talk about how excited they are. For the wedding weekend itinerary, group activities and attire, could you include that with your invites? We sent our guests an info packet to confirm their group rate hotel reservations, info about the rehearsal/welcome dinner, and ceremony and reception times. Although letting people know about local attractions and restaurants is a nice touch to get people excited about the trip, most people will do their own research as well, so don't stress about that too much.

  • Thank you! This was all very helpful. I feel much better.
