~10 months to go and nothing really done??

Hi ladies!

I really don't know what to do next or what I should have accomplished by now. So far we have booked a service which includes the beach site, officiate, photographer, bouquets and boutonnieres, and they will help working with local vendors. But that's it. I went dress shopping a couple weeks ago and didn't fall in love. I have not made another appointment yet. Colors aren't decided. Any events taking place in Ft Myers (DW location) are not planned, including after the ceremony. This list of things NOT done goes on and on.

I feel like a mess. I'm not organized and have no game plan. I should mention party/event planning is not my thing. What do you think I should have accomplished by now? Any advise?

    10 Months is plenty of time!  Don't stress your self out about it.  Just make a list of things you want to do/need to do.  Then I would seperate that list into sections like: ceremony, reception etc.  This will help you get a better handle on what you need to do, and for what and when! 

    I understand though, I'm 4.5 months out, and i've been planning for over a year, so now i'm just kinda in a muddle.

    TK's checklist is a good start to putting a list together of what to do.  I found that I needed to do things about a month before they had it on their list - but it's a good guide.  You still have time tho - 6 months before is when I started the majority of everything.

    is your maid of honor helping you at all? I sort of understand, I haven't made any decisions yet cause I'm afraid of the commitment.. haha

    Cecilia - I'm the same way! Very indecisive. I know it's one step at a time and things start falling into place, I guess I'm having an overwhelming day.

    I actually have two MOHs. One being my sister, but she is only 15. The other is my BFF, and she lives in Clearwater FL, while I am in Ohio. However she (BFF) has been a huge help so far.

    Thanks for the feedback and making me come back down to Earth, ladies! I spun off there for a moment...maybe I can get some work done now. I swear ever since the engagement I get paid to browse the Knot and any other wedding related site possible :)

    You have plenty of time, just start some lists-and start checking them off.  Don't get stressed, this is a destination wedding afterall!  :)
