Let me begin by saying that Miss Leslie (NZBride) said I should ditch my florist a while ago, but I thought I'd keep at it and see how things went. Should've listened! :P
My florist was recommended to me by my venue, and while she doesn't have a ton of online reviews, what reviews are out there are about her work are really good. She does weddings for the Inn, so I thought she would be a good choice. However, I just realized it's been THREE WEEKS since I last heard from her! I don't even have a formal contract, no deposits or any of that, just estimates she gave me based on some photos I sent her after what's already been a month's worth of communication. I've constantly had trouble getting a hold of her, but when last we spoke, it sounded like things were going to move forward. Serves me right!
While flowers don't make it very high on my wedding priority totem pole, this is a little ridiculous. I don't have a lot of flower needs, just stuff for people to wear and carry during the ceremony. I've found some alternatives on Etsy that are reasonably priced that can just come in the car with us so I can be done with it. Since it isn't a huge deal to me, I really just kind of want to get this out of the way. What would you all do? For those of you who have backed away from a vendor, how did you go about it? I think I'm in a unique situation since I don't have a contract or a deposit or any of that, but any advice would be helpful. Thanks, ladies!
