Took off my engagement ring to bake individual apple pies for my coworkers tomorrow and I absent mindly put my ring in a "safe place" out of the kitchen.
Couple of hours later I washed my hands and realized the ring was gone! (forgetting that i had taken it off and put in a safe place!) i began to freak out thinking i had baked it into the pies! I was moments away from tearing the pies apart when my fiance walks back into the kitchen holding the ring. Needless to say I felt a lil silly but we had a good laugh! Thanksgiving lesson one, be thankful you didnt bake your engagement ring into the apple pies!!
