Trash the dress, dress?

Hello ladies!

I am DEFINITELY doing a TTD session with my photographer the morning after the wedding in Maui. I've always loved this idea and she worked it into our deal.

Originally I had no problem trashing "the" dress, but now I have fallen in love with it and would like to have it as an option for my AHR. So I'm in the market for a white dress for my TTD session.

My budget is $150 or less (but it can budge). Does anyone have any suggestions on places to get simple white dresses? I don't want it to be a wedding dress, in case it is flashier than mine. But I'm okay with a bridesmaid dress in white or just a cute, casual long white dress.

Norstroms would be a good place to start. Or Macys. You could also check the wedding classifies board.

Depending on your dress you might could just use it. Most girls say it doesn't hurt the dress.

THIS!! I have seen a few dresses at Lord and Taylors too. You could go to Davids Bridal when they do the $99 dress sale too.

Thanks for the suggestions so far ladies, keep em' coming

I would wear my dress but I'm afraid of what the salt water will do to it. I know that sand can come out, but salt water can really ruin some materials.

What material is your dress? I think mine is satin or something similar so I'm scared it would get water spots.

It's Satin Taffetta. That's definitely a concern of mine too.

I really really want to do this still. I keep trying to talk FI into it. I would look at the DB 99 dress sale! Also, there are some white prom dresses right now that I would look into.

Yes!! Keep an eye on www.recycledbride.com I ended up scoring a beautiful, brand new Jessica McClintock dress that I am wearing for our TTD. It's fully beaded and it's going to be absolutely beautiful for our photos! I tried to get a dress from one of the Chinese companies and it came out very badly, so after that $200 mistake I found the perfect dress on RB for $100!!

PS - Recycled Bride has EVERYTHING for weddings, wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, shoes, & even decorations. It's a pretty good way to save some $$!
