Just an FYI for all of you who were considering purchasing flowers from www.angelsaccents.com , I continue to highly recommend it.  I received my flowers in the mail last night, and they are beautiful.  Angel also did a really thorough job packing them so nothing was crushed.  She also sent a personalized thank-you note with them--so sweet!

That being said, I'm not really sure how I am going to the DR in my luggage...I'll have to figure that one out.  Let me know if anyone has any ideas or has done this successfully in the past.

Are you working with a WC onsite that you could ship some things down to her or him?  I think there has been quite a few girls who ship things down before they go to the destination.

I also used Angels Accents for my flowers and they were gorgeous!  On the advice of a knottie who went before me, this is what I did...I bought cheap rubbermaid type containers and repacked them in there before packing them in a suitcase.  It sounds a bit nuts, but it worked.  I had one whole large suitcase of just flowers.  I got married last August and the airline rule was still that you got 2 suitcases per person for international travel, so my parents checked this bag for us.  Keep in mind that I had a lot of flowers!  I had my bouquet, 4 BM bouquets, 3 corsages and and 10 bouts.  I ended up fitting all of them in 3 containers that just fit into one suitcase.

I first looked into shipping them to my resort ahead of time, but they didn't allow it.  (I was married at a Sandals.)

Natalee--Great idea.  I think I will go the Rubbermaid container route.  Thanks for the idea.

Ideally I would like to ship them there, but I would not trust my WC with this.  She is not what we call "realiable".
