Invite family only to reception back home?

I am getting married in Jamaica in April of 2012. I plan on having a reception back home on a very tight budget, since we are going all out for the DW! I mainly have my close friends and our parents going to the DW. So alot of my family such as Aunts, Uncles, neices, nephews and cousins, are not able to attend. I want to plan a reception for family only. The problem is that I have a lot of friends that we keep in contact with. There are quite a few of our close friends that are not going to our wedding in Jamaica (mainly my fiance's close friends). The problem is I can not afford to invite both family and friends to the reception back home. I cant invite just a few friends and not invte them all. My family adds up to around 75 people alone. We most definitely have around 40 or more friends. The max that our venue holds back home is 100 to 120 people. That is with out a dance floor and a dance floor is very important to me. So I do not want to max the place out and not have dancing. Is it bad etiquette to not invite our friends to the reception back home? We have around 30 people going to our DW and only 11 are family. I dont know what to do.
