At work bright and early, and already wanting to go home! The one catch to the warmer weather we've been having - allergy season around here never ended and I am SO tired of sneezing every 30 seconds! lol
Its something about this city, because when I go north to visit my family, I don't have nearly as much of an issue! They live out in the country, nowhere near a city, and I'm good to go...

I've been at work since 5:45....yuck!!! Maybe your allergic to your work building like I am. I swear I only get stuffy at work. Or maybe we are just allergic to work in general! Today's another 12 hour day for me but it will be work it when I leave early Thursday. My supervisor was here bright and early giving us all a bottle of Arbor Mist wine and some lotion and lip balm. I kinda feel bad now because we didn't buy her anything. We usually do every year but she has really turned into a rotten B*tch this year. She is terrible to everyone! Im not sure what to do about this now.

That must be it, we're both allergic to work! I keep reminding myself that FI promised that once we get the wedding done with, I can leave my job lol That time will NOT come fast enough!

Good Morning!

I have orientation this morning for the new position at work today I'm pretty excited about it, but it also means I won't be on much today I will try to pop in during breaks and lunch.

 Jen- I kind of know what you mean. I'm in the opposite situation... I'm currently a manager of a tech team and every year I get my staff a little something and a card (with a scratch off ticket in it) lol and this year I didn't because they have been not so nice these last few months.  Well one of my biggest bad apples surprised me with a little gift yesterday and I kind of felt bad.  I'm not sure if I should let that make me go get them all something or not.  I think if nothing else, maybe just get her a card... but I don't like my current boss and I won't be getting him anything even if he surprises me with something!  lol

Jen, have fun at orientation! It terrible cause nobody should feel they have to get anyone anything but I'm not a mean person so it does make me feel bad. I guess I can see what the rest of my co-workers think! Nobody likes her so idk what everyone else will say. We are hoping with the take over they will get rid of her ; ). I've had three supervisors quit or change positions because of his lady who was just ine if us and then ended up being our supervisor cause they couldn't find anyone else. Even her boss last year said to us "we are trying to work on her attitude towards everyone" how about just get rid of her!

Good Morning.  Nothing new and exciting here today.  I did realize today that I have to change my name with Social Security since I haven't done that yet.  It is just down the street but it just seems like such a pain. 

I did finish making my Christmas cards last night.  Now I just need to address them and get them in the mail.

Jen - Good lick with oreintation today. 

Jenn - I am trying to figure this out...3 supervisors quit because of this lady so they made her supervisor?!

Britt - I hope that you start feeling better soon.  I actually had a job that I think the building was truly making me sick.  I had never been one to get sick but when I started that job, I was legitimately sick all the time!!

Jenn -- I always hate when someone buys you a gift and you don't get them anything... although I think that since she is your mgr, you shouldn't feel obligated to get her something because she bought you something (shouldn't she be rewarding you for all of your great work anyway?!).

Omg, they have the bldg guys outside our windows right now pounding away. It is so annoying. If I have to listen to this all day, I'm going to go crazy. I have no idea what they are even doing... Might be a good reason to work from home for the rest of the afternoon!

Ya Cathy! Isn't that nuts! She always acted like she was the supervisor even when she was not so my previous supervisors couldn't take her. After the last one left, they made her acting supervisor until they could find someone. After a year of looking they just made her supervisor. Big mistake. She was actually my friend at work. We used to take our kids to amusement parks together and I'd go to her house for pool parties, then things went to her head and she is terrible. She's been known to point in peoples face if they disagree with her. Great supervisor! I just asked all my co-workers about a gift for her, we usually put money in and buy a dinner gift certificate, and they all said no. However I just found out that one of the girls gave her an ornament. She was the first one to say no gift. Why wouldn't she just say she gave her something already?! Now what do I do?

My coworkers and I all put money in on a gift for our supervisor, but he's one of the few things that I actually like about this job

Good morning ladies!  I am working today even though it is usually my day off.  I traded with a girl so I am off on Thursday instead.  I am super tired today though and I'm really dragging.  I just want this week to be over!

Good morning,

Another day at work.  Only 3 more till Christmas!  That doesn't seem possible.

It is hard working with crappy people.  We have one lady in our office who is just crazy.  When I first started the person I took over for told me that for the most part it was a good crew but there was 1 bad apple.  It didn't take me long to figure out who it was.

I work in an accounting office while studying to be a CGA (Certified General Accountant).  When I first started she was very helpful and sweet but as time goes along and I get farther in my studies she gets more and more territorial and bitchy.  I have discussed it with my boss and he says she is jealous because I am going to pass her in knowledge but she has been the reason multiple people have left the company I don't know why she is allowed to get away with it!

Britt - do you think there mold issues or something that affect your allergies?

I never thought about mold issues, but its definitely a possiblity... I know we had a flooding issue at one point in one of the storerooms not far from my desk...

Thanks everyone for the well wishes at orientation!  It went well and I'm getting really excited about this opportunity!  I guess I had good timing at "quiting" my other position afterall...lol

Britt, we made our bosses get our place checked for mold cause we can visibly see it, we were told there was none. Ah ya right! Kimmy, I wish I had a door to shut! I share space w/ one other lady but we have a divider between us so we don't see each other. Jen, I'm so excited for you so I decided to live through your new adventure vicariously through you!
