Newly engaged & new here, please bear with me. Finace and I are are having a cruise wedding (January 2012) to the Caribbean, but we're not paying for most of the invited guests. Traditionally invitations are sent out 8-10 wks ahead of time, I'm inclined to send them out more like 4-6 months ahead of time to give people plenty of time to plan. Suggestions? Also, I'd include in the invitation a separate page with the cruise information on it. Should I include what port we'll be at for guests that want to attend the wedding, but can't fit a whole cruise into their schedule? Also also, How do we word the invitation to express our elation if people will attend, but understanding if they cannot afford or take the time away from their lives for a cruise?? Side note: I will probably start a wedding website to include cruise related info and maybe registry info as well and include the website on the invitation insert.
