-And, this is totally a matter of personal taste, flame away, but cascading bridal bouquets.  Every time I see one I wonder whether it's suddently 1987 again.  Sorry!

OMG I know, I think the same exact thing. I don't think any of the girls here had one though.

I dislike/but did due to tradition:
-The grand entrance of the bridal party/bride & groom! It was so akaward... But of course we HAD to do it.... Everyone knows I am the bride.. why do I need to be annouced!
-Receiving Line (if one more person pulled on my VEIL.. grr)
-Ice sculpture (it was free/included in the package, so we did an "H".... no animals or crazy things)
-Sweetheart table... But honestly at our wedding I was there for maybe 5 mins... We didnt really eat
-Garter Toss (however CLASSY! No head under dress.. pulling the garter off with teeth, GROSS!) My DH simply slid the garter down, and tossed it.. the two that caught it were funny!

I dislike and made my point clear NOT to do:
-Head Tables, especially because their "dates" are alone at a table with strangers
    -DOLLAR DANCE (Tacky!)
-Long pointless off topic homilies (catholic wedding)... we made this POINT CLEAR and our priest did good.. ha
-Cake Smushing... I told my DH if he did it, he would be getting two rings back that night and sleeping in his parents' suite...
-Chicken Dance, Hokey Pokey... NOT OK for a wedding list..

However as for picking battles... the large bridal party was a battle I chose NOT to pick... my DH wanted 13!!!! Um.. I got him down to 10 I figured it was a battle won in my book.. Ha! Actually I loved my HUGE bridal party.. especially because after talking to the girls, it was much cheaper due to having 10 verses 5 for Bridal Shower, Bachelorette, etc...

I did the "Love is Patient..." reading... The reason is because all of the other options I HATED it! We just scanned through the book and picked whatever sounded ok and was short.. NO LONG MASS!

Honestly, we could of cared less about doing the religious ceremony at a church. We just wanted to get married...if we could of (and family/friends could/would of traveled) we would of been back to Cabo where we got engaged and got married on the beach!

Parents & ILs were set for Catholic church ceremony.. We made them happy. (another battle not to fight) I went to 12 years of Catholic school... I have had enough... Sorry there goes my Catholic rant..

    Head Tables
    Loud annoying DJs
Mothers (of bride and/or groom) who think it's actually their wedding
Bouquet and garter thing where the groom puts hit head up under my dress trying to get the garter out with his teeth.  He can do that after the reception.

wow, i feel blessed to have never been to a wedding with this "dollar dance" and most certainly wouldn't do one!

my biggest pet peeve is not being able to eat/ not having a vegetarian option.  i was a bm for a friend i'd been best friends with for like 20 years... and she had no option for me.  i got a plate of cooked vegetables and a half of a potato.  i missed the pasta dish because she had us taking pictures too.  i starved.  my feet bled from the darn shoes she picked.  i don't mind sweet heart tables, but i didnt' like that hers was higher up from all the other tables like she was above us all (fitting i guess) so i have a bad impression of that now too.

i also dislike long gaps between ceremony & reception.
