Regarding Guest Accommodations

Hello Ladies!

I have a concern regarding guests and accommodations. It's not so much where or who it's more or less a when concern. Even though my family will be traveling from a minimum distance my fiance's relatives are spread out all over the states. With everyone coming in from different areas pretty much I was wondering if I should ask to block rooms from Friday until Sunday or Monday since our wedding is early morning on Sunday. Would this be okay to block rooms from Friday to Monday? Or should I ask for discounts at the various hotels near the wedding locations and let everyone come in as they please from Friday and Saturday?

I stayed at an AI in Mexico and to receive the benefits, we had to have people stay at that resort, therefore I just did a group of rooms that were blocked for 4 nights (Wed-Sun for a Friday wedding)...Our guests were welcomed to stay at whatever resort they wanted, but all but 1 couple stayed with us.

I think it depends on what can help your guests the most...

Thank you for your input, Kayla. I will definitely think a bit more on this matter and go with what works best if possible.
