FI and I have some time to kill here at the airport on our way back home *sad face* but I wanted to give an update on our trip! The resort was BEAUTIFUL and naturally, I had nothing to worry about (of course). We net our future wedding coordinator and she is absolutely amazing! Her name is Shanoya and shes extremely professional, organized, and has wonderful customer service (as does the rest of the hotel). We were actually lucky enough to have another wedding going on there on Saturday and in the same location/size were looking at having, so now I can totally visualize
pics to come later I promise!
Ok so the good:
-customer service = amazing at Half Moon. We had a couple discrepancies with our bill at the end and all incorrect charges were removed without question. Also, we were meant to have a bottle of champagne upon arrival per our package but didn't receive it, but received it later with a personal apology from the head of Romance services.
-the resort is GORGEOUS. It has a wonderfully intimate and neighborhood feel to it. Not at all like a typical resort hotel.
-our wedding coordinator is amazing for all the aforementioned reasons
-our suite was oceanfront with the beach literally ten steps away with a private balcony
-the staff I very friendly and makes you feel at home instead of just another guest
-they have a dolphin lagoon!!!
-we had a romantic turndown service on our last night and it was such a beautiful suprise. There were rose petals everywhere and they decorated the bed and filled the bath with petals. Amazing!
The bad:
- we did have an incident our first night there where we didn't know the shopping area is open to the general public, and since it's off season, the resort was extremely quiet, and in one of the shops we had a random creepy Jamaican guy taking pictures of me with his camera phone (or so it
seemed) and needed to report it to security. They handled it beautifully.
-make sure you ask for a print out of your account to make sure there are no unnecessary charges billed
-since it's off season, the first night we were there it was kind of like a ghost resort and certain bars/restaurants aren't open.

-it did rain almost each day we were there, but the showers are over really quickly so I'm nervous about our actual day. It only POuRED one night with really bad thunder and lightning.
