8. What is your dream job?
I went back and finished my masters as a reading specialist. I'd eventually like to become a school reading coordinator.
9. How did you and your fiance' meet?
We met online via a free social networking/dating site. I was new to the area where he'd lived all his life so we connected that way and have been together ever since.
10. When did you get engaged, and how did he do it??
December 30, 2009- I was staying at his house before heading down south to see my parents for Christmas break. He came home from work and found me still on the couch in my PJs, enjoying my lazy day off. He sort of freaked out that I wasn't dressed and told me we had to leave right away. I threw on jeans and a hoodie and didn't even have time for make-up before he was shoving me out the door. Turns out he wanted to propose at the museum where we had one of our early dates. We got there just after they closed, so he proposed on the steps over looking the city. It was perfect.
11. When is the Wedding Day?
June 24, 2011
12. Where is the ceremony and reception?
Outer Banks, NC
13. What are your wedding colors?
Purple and green with touches of orange and pink
14. Where are you honeymooning?
We're staying at our wedding location for two weeks and then hoping to get away this winter if Ryan's med school schedule isn't too hectic.
15. Favorite wedding vendor so far?
This is a tie between my florist and the photographers. Our florist has been great helping with local questions and she always responds so quickly. Our photographers are really fun and do amazing work, but we haven't had as much interaction with them.
16. Biggest wedding splurge?
Photography, but the pictures will last forever so I think it's worth it.
17. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't?
I wish I could have had live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The guy we selected ended up being double booked and we lost him since the other couple was using a wedding planning who regularly gives him business. Now we're using an ipod. We just couldn't find anyone else we loved as much for the same budget so close to our wedding.
18. Another Knottie whose wedding you'd like to attend?
Everyone's would be really fun, but probably Pam's since ours are so close together.
19. Favorite book?
Mr. Popper's Penguins. I know it's a children's book but I love reading it to my class every year because they've never heard the story and are always so surprised at the ending.
20. Favorite movie?
Phantom of the Opera
21. Favorite tv show?
Modern Family
22. Favorite wedding dress designer?
I love Maggie dresses, but ended up falling in love with an Alfred Angelo.
23. Any advice you can give to other Knotties whose big day is coming up?
As your wedding date gets closer, prioritize whatever is left on your To Do list and then let the rest go. I wanted to be really relaxed in the final days leading up to the wedding and just enjoy being engaged a little while longer. It's a good feeling knowing just about everything is taken care of.
24. Is there anything you wish you could change about your wedding?
I wish a few more people from our family could have made the trip, but I wouldn't have changed having a DW for that.
25. Tell us your Knottie name and how you came up with it.
ms_teach, pretty simple it's what I do and a big part of who I am.
26. Tell us about yourself!
hmmm... I feel like we all know each other so well after planning together so long. I love being outside and we spend a lot of time biking, roller blading, gardening, and playing with our two furbabies. Ryan starts med school in the fall and now that I'm done planning this wedding I'm going to need a few new hobbies. I'm thinking I might start to scrapbook again. We'll see!
**doing these early this week because I won't be able to get on after tomorrow and I know Pam is leaving soon**

**Whenever I'm alone with you, you make me feel like I am home again; Whenever I'm alone with you; You make me feel like I am whole again**
