I wasn't sure how to title/phrase this question/series of questions, so here 'goes..
1) What does/did the timeline of your DW day look like?
2) Is anyone doing something that isn't a cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception, if there's a gap?
Deets: When we originally planned our wedding, the plan didn't involve having guests. Now that we have family coming, I'm definitely feeling the pressure to entertain. We're having our ceremony at 3pm and dinner at 5pm. Between the ceremony, pictures, and time to get to the restaurant, the lag time may not be a problem, but I was just trying to think of something to help guests pass the time in between. One thing I considered and liked best was having cake with a toast directly after the ceremony at the Inn rather than at dinner. Or even something crazy like bringing our bocce set with us. Looking for something in lieu of a "cocktail hour." I was hoping to save s'mores and all of that jazz for later in the evening post-dinner, but I'm still not exactly sure what all of that should entail either. Maybe doing cake etc. then..? I'm admittedly a little stressed out about this. I'm concerned that people will feel like there isn't enough to do and they won't have a good time.. Anything anyone's willing to share is much appreciated!
