Picked to be on a grand jury! I am on this for 18 months. I have to go to court the last Thursday and Friday of every month.....and be on call. Of course my work only pays for 40 hours of jury duty so the rest will be unpaid, oh wait, they give us $25!!!!! I even tried to get out of it because of Hawaii, they said it's fine and I can miss those days. Being on a grand jury we have the right to ask witnesses questions etc. This is crazy, but probably fun and interesting! Then I get home and a letter from domestic relations was waiting for me for a hearing to get more child support! Wahoo!!

Good for you performing your civic duty!!! I have always gotten out of jury duty, but I really want to be summoned sometime now. I had a major, crazy legal issue getting accused of something I absolutely did not do a few years back and now have a whole new found respect for all that!!!
