Wedding Venues for extremely small budget

Hello my fiance and I are looking for a wedding venue to have ceremony and reception at in the Modesto/Stockton area...we are also willing to travel up to a couple hours away. Our budget is about $2000 for everything...we would really like an outdoor wedding with gardens around...just very pretty...is there anything like that in this area that could fit in the budget?

That is a small budget. But I know that the Vizcaya in Sacramento is pretty flexible. They cut the rental price into a 3rd of what it is just for moving it to Friday night. If you are willing to compromise on date/time, I would suggest talking to them.

The Vizcaya is nice - but pricier than what you're looking for.  And no gardens.

Why not a bontanical garden or something like that?  The McKinley Rose Garden or the State Capital Rose Garden in Sacramento?  It's a very small fee and you could use the park for the reception as well just for the cost of a permit (under $100)  Of course, then you'd have to rent chairs.  But if you did simple food (like a lunch or even just a punch/cake reception) you'd be good.

The Micke Grove Japanese Garden is pretty and they have wedding there all the time. For reception - you can go offsite.. or stay at the park and rent a picnic shelter or the Memorial Auditorium
