Photographer near Royersford area

Hey guys!!

I was wondering if anybody knew of any good photographers in the Royersford/Collegeville/Phoenixville area.  I'm new to the area and would like to get engagement photos taken but I don't know who to go to.  Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!  Thank you!

Are you wanting only to get your E-pics done or are you looking for a photographer for the e-pics and wedding?

Most photographers will travel a bit, so you don't need someone who is based out of that area. My photog said that he would travel anywhere within an hour to do engagement pictures.

I don't really have a budget set for engagement pictures - it doesn't really matter to me.  I only need the engagement photos taken because my cousin's husband is a photographer and he is gifting his talents for our wedding but they live in Missouri so he can't do my engagement photos unfortunately!

Very nice of your cousin's husband to take your wedding photos.

If you don't have a budget set, I'd go through the list from the philly blog and google some of the photographer's blogs.  See which ones you like and contact them.

Ditto what mana said.  I'm going to find the link for the Philly blog and post it for you.  It really is a great resource. 

Also, my photog (Paul Lutes) does a lot of engagement stuff.  He's in New Jersey, but my wedding is in Delaware.  And I know he's travelled to Philly for other things.  It's worth looking into.  Rofo isn't terribly far from right over the bridge in Jersey.  www.prlcreative.com. He also has a facebook page.

I'm actually from that area (Rofo, Collegeville, etc.  I grew up in Pottstown)!   But I only know one photographer in C-vile, Carmen Blike.  And I don't know what her rates are, or if she's still in the business.  She used to do headshots when I was in high school, but she specializes in portraits.

It's also listed on the Welcome to TK Philly post sticky at the top of the page.  But it lists basically every vendor a Philly bride has used.  If there's a vendor you're thinking about and you have questions... ear burn that bride and if they don't frequent TK anymore, chances are... one of us is friends with her on FB and we'll track her down so she can help you out. 

Also: Welcome to the board!!!!  Do you have a date picked yet?

Marc Anthony Photography is the best choice. His work is matched only by Tony Hoffer. But the $4000 difference in price was not worth it. You can check him out at www.marcanthonyphoto.com. I'd also look into Robert LoRusso.

The best choice is different for everyone.

So do your research and meet with people!

The best choice is
1) The photographer with the work you like best
2) You and the photographer "click", you don't want to be around someone you aren't comfortable with
3) Fits you $$ needs/wants

You should try Gail Ann Photography. She is not my wedding photographer but we just used her back in December and she did an amazing job. she is located right in Royersford.

It sounds like you are quoting Marc's facebook note and blog. LOL. I know you were also looking into him but he booked your date before you were able to meet. I'm glad Philip Gabriel didn't screw you over like I thought he was going to. Philip is good. You'll love your pictures I'm sure.

Hey Jamy,
I am not sure what note/blog you are talking about.
I really dont have the time to read blogs or notes on facebook.

The advice I gave is truely what I believe.

I was looking into many photographers while my FI, my father, and I were discussing photographer options, and seeing what my first choice photographer who I booked years ago could do for me.

Here is where I am confused,
1) Yes I was going to meet with Marc, I had a lot of other meetings in the works as well... I needed to feel out all of my options....

2) Yes Marc did book my date before I got to meet him

3) One thing Marc did that I will tell you and every bride here about is before he got to meet with that bride he emailed me and wanted to see if I wanted to meet before their meeting so I could have the chance to book him first...  to me, this is very sketchy, I would hope if I had a meeting set up with a vendor they would not try to have someone else meet with me first to book me first... thats not cool. I will not say any more on the subject, but I hope he never does that to any other bride... and that is one of the reasons I will no longer rec him.... I dont want any of my girls here to get screwed bc he got some other bride to meet him before they have a chance.

4) Jamy, who are you really, because
        1) you werent around when I was trying to decide on what to do with my photographer ordeal

         2) I never told anyone, except for people I saw in person, about the Marc emailing me and meeting with another bride who shares a date with me...


PS. Philip Gabriel was never going to screw me over, it was what my budget could accomodate... my pictures will be fantastic and I hope others can think as highly of their photographer as I think of mine!
