Is my FI the only one?!

Please tell me I'm not the only one dealing with this...

My FI knows WHO he wants to ask to be his GMs, but has yet to ask them.  We are almost t-minus 5 months!  One of their wife's told me she was surprised her DH wasn't asked to be in the wedding, and I'm like UGH he will be if I can get FI to man up and ask!  Actually that GM will probably be Best Man! 

/rant... I feel better just getting that out.

You are not alone.  My FI has one more to ask and he's been sitting on it for MONTHS.  I don't understand what the problem is.  Just call him already.  Another reason why I will never understand men!

I think he has an irrational fear of rejection.  Dude they are YOUR friends!

Lol. My FI has yet to ask one of his guys who lives states away. I say something every week about calling him and he just doesn't do it. Maybe its understood that they are in the wedding?! haha.

haha, I got in a fight w/ my FI for him to figure it out.  He asked his friends a few months ago, but wouldn't figure out if he wanted to have his brothers stand up with him.  At least the guys don't need as much time to order their apparel!

Same story here - lol This weekend we are having an enagment party so hopefully he will ask his than. Silly boys.

My Fi asked everyone except his BM at new years. He still hasn't asked his best man. He says it's a given. Sometimes I think he's holding off just to torment me lol

my FI is the complete opposite. He had a BM before he even proposed! And all of his guys were lined up within a week of proposing. But his were pretty obvious, he's had the same tight-knit group of guys for years.

Is there a reason for waiting so long? I can't imagine any of them would say no!

FI took FOREVER to ask all of his GM!  I don't understand what the problem was...they're your friends/family...jut pick up the phone!  I asked my BMs within days of getting engaged (granted they all knew that they were going to be BMs and were just waiting for FI to put a ring on it LOL!), but still!  Men are so weird when it comes to communicating with each other!

So glad I'm not the only one! We originally decided to skip the wedding party and after a few months of sitting on it we decided we wanted it after all. I asked my girls that month and now four months later I'm still waiting on him! The thing is he won't let me send their STDs unil he asks, so I have two STDs addressed and waiting to be mailed the second he asks! At this rate I'll be lucky if he asks by the time we're ready to mail invitations, lol! Ugh, so frustrating!

Neither of us has officially asked anyone to stand up for us.  I think that I am going to have my brother stand up for me and FI say he is going to have his brother.  I think that I am waiting because I am afraid that my brother won't be able to come.

My FI hasn't asked anyone! He has a twin and his older brother that he'll ask, his best friend, and then we just found out yesterday his friend in the Air Force will be home for the wedding so he'll ask him. But, he still hasn't asked anyone. He says it's a given.

My FI still hasn't asked his brother. He asked the other four, though to be honest, we actually asked them together. He says he hasn't asked his brother yet because he still isn't sure he wants his brother to be his BM, since he's still hurt over the fact he wasn't his brother's BM ten years ago. Men!! *rolls eyes*

My FI has asked all his guys as well.  He asked his brother right away.  Over the summer he asked my BIL, it was cute he wrote him a check yes or no note, it was totally 'them'. 

He was unsure of who he would ask for the last one.  He has a bunch of college friends that he talks to all the time online but all live out of state so he was unsure about asking them.  He then decided to ask his best friend from high school, who is a flakey druggy and very unreliable.  But thankfully changed his mind.

He finally asked one of his good friends from Arizona a couple of weeks ago and he said he would love to do.  He kinda felt wierd asking him since we couldn't go to his wedding last summer but it all worked out

I seriously thought I had the only FI who hasnt asked his guys yet. I even said in front of one of the guys that Joe has something to say. He said soemthing about the boat. What a pain in my @$$!!! Its like he is terrified. My best friend is a BM, possible MOH now, in my wedding and I told her that her husband is also in the wedding but Joe needs to ask. haha He still hasnt asked and my girls have known since the beginning of January. Guys are so funny. Lets see who's FI will ask first. LOL

I kept pestering FI about it for months and he kept saying he wanted to ask in person. He finally asked his brother and best friend two weeks ago, but it took forver for him to get around to doing so. Though he loves East Bound and Down and he "proposed" to his bro and best friend like how Kenny asked to be taken to the game. He asked his bro in front of his family so they were laughing at him and adding additional commentary as he was doing his speech and his bro actually joked back and stood up and told him he had to ask/propose properly. But now that he has asked he still doesnt plan on worrying about tuxes until August...

My FI actually asked right away! It was rather lame though, he was playing World of Warcraft with them and was like "Hey, wanna be in my wedding? Cool." haha. He'll never pick up the phone and call them, the only communication he has with them is through Star Wars and formerly World of Warcraft (he stopped playing that when Star Wars came out). Only person he calls is his brother once in a blue moon.

We have 4 on each side, and my girls knew fairly early.  He has asked his BM and second, but is still trying to decide on the other two between 4 guys.... stupid men and being indicisive....

I joke that FI's more girly than me in some ways. He kept rattling off name after name of who he wanted to be in the WP! I had to stop him and make him really think about it before asking anyone. And with him limiting it, he's asked 5 GMs and his best man.

They are a tight knit group of 5 friends... for each others weddings they put names in a hat and whoevers name is pulled is the bestman, and then groomsman etc
Well now it is FI's TURN so GET TO IT LOL
