So, after picking out 2 dresses in a row that have been discontinued, I finally went to David's Bridal today with FI's cousin (a BM) and had her try on some dresses. We found one that we both really liked and that she was comfortable in and she ordered that.

We picked this (<--clicky) in Plum. It was more than what I had planned on asking my girls to spend on their dresses, but it's a very nice dress and it will look good on all of them. I am offering to contribute some to the higher cost since FI's cousin and her husband and daughter will all be in the wedding, and my other 2 girls will have to travel up from Florida for the wedding.

Overall, I'm pleased with the dress. Now I just have to drag my Mom to a store and get her to pick something!

Beautiful!!  I am also having trouble with  BM dresses.  Honestly, this is the hardest part for me so far!  

We narrowed it down to a dress at David's but I have one more person to try it on and it is also in plum.  I am curious to know what other colors you are going with...plum was not my first choice and now I'm stuck.

NRod - My colors are plum & burnt orange with some accents of chocolate brown, dark red & gold (plus some other Fall colors, as well). This (the BM dresses) has probably been the most difficult part for me so far, too. It's so hard to decide on dresses and try to have them be budget friendly, available in my color and fit a variety of body shapes!

Thanks magpie, it sounds lovely!  I think I just need to get a little creative, I guess.  I don't know why I didn't already ask my daughter who is an art student!  lol.

LOL,  I know!  Its crazy that I didn't even ask her first.  I would love her to be more involved with the planning, but she's got enough on her plate while being away at school.
