Hi, ladies! I had a LOT of downtime this weekend, which is good, because I won't pretty much until the honeymoon otherwise, ha. I kept thinking I ought to work on the invitations, but I am sick to death of them AND FI said he'd help some time (and he was out of town at a bachelor party), so I figured they could wait. So, I got started on another DIY craft: our escort cards! Now, I'm obviously not filling them out yet, since I don't know who's coming, let alone who's sitting where, ha, but I figured I'd get the actual cards ready so when the time comes, all we have to do is write on them. Here's hoping I don't totally regret this decision and it was instead time well spent-- especially because my fingers are RAW from working on them!
So anyway, here's a pic of two of them:

Ah, that looks super teeny in this screen, I hope they're not that small, but anyway, in case they are, they're white hang tags that I got from Paper Source (these ones,
click here) with one or two buttons made from vintage dictionaries. The words are all generally romantic/lovey-dovey kind of things. I love them! I didn't make them, I ordered them off Etsy; the seller still makes them, so if anyone's interested, they're
here.
And then at the top there's just a red and white twine ribbon. The twine will be in a lot of our wedding stuff, including our invites, my BM's bouquets, and some other stuff I'm not thinking of because it's Monday morning, ha.
Anyway, so when they're all set, it'll say the name(s) and table number on the front, with their entree choices on the back.
The buttons were slightly less than easy to get pinned to the paper, which is why my finger tips are in such pain, ha. I probably only did about half of what we need.
But I'm super happy with how they turned out, and glad to have at least gotten something done, especially since I'm still not speaking to my invitations, ha ha.
Hope everyone else who tried to get something done this weekend, big or small, was successful!
