Photographer & Videographer...Good Deal???

So a BM and I met with a potential videographer and photographer tonight to discuss what they offer in wedding packages. Both have worked in industry for over 10 years each. Photographer has worked at a portrait studio and will position us perfectly for posed pictures and snap lots of candids as well. Videographer used to work for local news team and now shoots weddings and commercials for local businesses. The two of them combined are $3100. Package descried below.

Photographer

Pre-wedding consultations (Unlimited)

Photographer and assistant (Assistant doesn't shoot much)

8 hours of pictures

11x14 spiral bound proof book

CD with printing rights to our images

Videographer

Pre-Wedding consultation

Videographer and assistant (Both shooting video)

All day (From hair appointment to last dance if wanted)

Ceremony shot from 5 cameras

Interviews with people of interest

Use of 3 wireless mics during ceremony

Final video is edited, bubbed with music of our choosing, and broken into chapters

Case and DVD are personalized pictures from the day.

Includes 5 copies of finsihed DVD with highlight reel

So my question to you ladies is what do you think? Good deal for the money?

That sounds like a pretty great deal actually.  We're paying 1765 for just the photographer.

Sounds like a good deal to me but it's really gonna depend on your location.  For example, we're paying close to 5k for our photos.  So yeah, to me your photo/video sounds like a steal to me!

If booked individually, those packages are both 1700. So we save money by booking them together, I just wasn't sure if the price matched the service provided.

I think if you think you are getting a good deal and you like the people that you are going to work with go for it.  Also do a little check around on other photographers/videographers website to see if the prices are comparable for what you get.  It looks as if the videographer has a lot to offer with that package.

I think that's a good price.  We're paying almost that much for the video alone.

I agree it depends on the area. We are paying $1495 for Epics, and all-day day of photography, but that is with a discount because i'm also a photographer and have worked out a deal with her. We aren't doing video but it would run about the same.

Also, I would have to see their work to know for sure if it was a good deal! And it also depends on your style. I like a more photojournalistic style vs. posing for every photo. Photojouralistic photogs in dallas tend to run on the higher end.

I think it sounds like a great deal.  We are paying around $3200 for Photography alone, but we chose one of their top packages with unlimited time which included the engagement photography.
