week full of wedding checks

So this week has been a week full of checks! I feel soo productive!
We went tuesday to go meet with the caterer to sign the contract and pay the deposit. We were at the mall tuesday so we went to the different jewelry stores to get ideas for FI ring. We hadnt really looked too much before, but he figured out the style he wanted and the size he needed. I looked a little for myself but didnt really find anything I liked... I went out on Saturday to look for rings and found my ring! it will be in  around the end of the month. FI loves the carbon inlay look rings so we were looking online all week for different styles and found a style he loved on buy.com(clicky for his ring). So we ordered it today.
FI has been putting off asking his best friend to be his best man for months so yesterday he finally did so, but he still needs to ask his bro to be in the wedding party (he was going to ask on easter but he didnt get to see him) but then everyone in the wedding party will officially know they are in the wedding party lol.
We also looked up wedding invites and have narrowed down the style we like but still not sure... i think i might create my own design because we havent found specifically what we love. Who knew looking for penguin wedding invites would be so difficult?
We also narrowed down the wedding cake toppers to these two: Option1(my fave) or Option 2
Things are really starting to come together now.

Congrats on all of your checks! I love penguins, too! Topper option 1 is super cute.

We got a few things done to: picked out the dress style for 3 of the 5 bridesmaids (they're choosing the style, but will all be in long, navy, chiffon Bill Levkoff dresses); got our engagement photos taken, finalized where we're going to take a LONG honeymoon; narrowed down invitation options. Hoping to finalize that this week and order our save the dates - our photographer should be sending us our photos by the end of the week (she's been amazing so far!). The only other huge thing we need to do is secure our florist - just waiting for replies to questions from two possible florists. I'll feel GREAT when that's booked!
