So, FI and I both work at Dollywood (him part time, me full time) in the rides department. One of our supervisors asked two days ago if we'd be interested in helping with evacuation training at Wild Eagle (new-for-2012 coaster) on Thursday since she knew we would be off all weekend and could probably use the extra hours. The response was something along the lines of "duh."
So today, we got to experience something few people do - being about 100 feet up a coaster's lift hill together! We were originally supposed to go all the way up the 210 foot tall lift hill, but there were masses of wasps all over it so they took us up a little over halfway before stopping it. Several people in management that were present for the training promised that by the end of the season, they'll take me all the way to the top!
I just had to share cause this was really exciting since it's something I've wanted to do all season and I got to experience it with FI!
