FI and I picked out and purchased our wedding bands today! We spent yesterday and today shopping around, and we'd settled pretty firmly on his but I'd found nothing I liked at all. We went to Zales last and they not only had the best price on his ring by $20, they had the
perfect band for mine. So we ordered his and bought mine!! So exciting!
My rings: my e-ring is custom, with both our birthstones on either side of a 3/8 ct round diamond center stone, and I didn't want the band to overwhelm it. The band is a 1/2 ct round prong-set band and it's simple and understated enough to complement rather than compete.
His ring is made of tungsten, which is the most scratch-resistant metal available. His e-ring is a titanium band and it looks like it's been through a war, so I'm glad we learned that with a cheaper ring so we could look for a durable wedding band.
