Experience at Rosalin's Bridal in Falls Church?

I've done my research and it looks to me that they offered the best prices for the gowns that I like.  They also offered to special-order a length for $150 extra, considering even the petite size is too long, which has been cheaper than the cost of hem alterations in some places.  So far, it's been really pleasant working with Rosalin's ...Does anyone care to share their experiences with them?Any horror stories I have to worry about if I order from them?

I dont have anything to add- but unless your dress is highly ornate you can probably get it hemmed by angie for cheaper than the $150 plus the cost of alterations.  For the most part she caps at $175 total.  Just a thought. Also, you might want to check and see if the Bridal Mart in Burlington, NC, can order your dress.   They have great prices as well as don't charge shipping or tax. I had a few friends save hundreds of dollars through them. Just a thought. GL!

I bought my gown last weekend from Rosalin's! I've had a good experience so far. The first time I went there was in July. A dress that I really liked was no longer being made by the manufacturer. Rosalin offered to sell me the floor sample for half price, but I ultimately decided against it because it would have needed major alterations and dry cleaning. In the end, the cost to do all of those things wouldn't have made it worth it. So, I ended up buying my second choice gown, which was still fine by me. They offer very reasonable prices for the DC area. I got great individual attention from Rosalin the first time I was there. The second time I was there was a Saturday and even though I had an appointment the previous person must have been running over. It's a very small shop. Luckily I had a friend with me who could give me some help off and on. Overall they are very friendly. A friend of mine bought her dress there and she had a fantastic experience. I thought about buying a dress online and asking my sister (who is a master seamstress) do the alterations, but she lives out of town so it would mean more trips for me. Plus, I really try to support small businesses as much as possible. Small business owners are the ones that can really use the patronage.

Thanks, Kitcat.  I ordered my dress from them (so excited!)  Now I just have to wait.  They said it should come in around February.  When does yours arrive?

My gown is due to arrive the first week of February. My friend who got her gown from Rosalin's said hers came in 2 weeks early. Our dress is by the same designer, so I'm hoping mine comes in early too.

I'll second (fourth?) the other comments. I've had a great experience with them. Originally thought I'd only order my dress there, but ended up getting bridesmaids' dresses and am having Rosalin re-purpose my mom's wedding dress into a wrap, purse, and ring pillow. Best prices in the areas!

I came in with a picture of the dress I printed from the online website of the designer (they didn't have a sample in the store).  The lady who helped me, Ven, requested to keep it.  I let her keep it, but now I'm worried as to why she needed it.  The dress was already in the catalogue in the store.  I'm hoping they don't use that picture to make me a knock-off.  Am I worrying for no reason?

kjane - I highly doubt they'd risk they're reputation to do something so stupid.  maybe they'll try and order a similar style or they like to keep up to date w/ the current trends
