Watermelon dresses for the bridesmaids

After my initial post I kinda dropped off the board...LOL! I have finally decided on WATERMELON (Davids Bridal) for the bridesmaids so I feel like I can get rolling on planning the rest now! Did anyone else use this color?

A few more questions from me: * Anyone having their photographer provide them with a CD of the pictures and printing them themselves? Or know anyone that has? * My groom wants to wear a pinstripe suit. Not sure how I feel about it! Opinions? *Pink is my favorite color and I kind of wanted to tie in the watermelon color on myself as well. I was thinking pink shoes, pink flower in the hair, pink sash??? I was leaning towards the pink shoes with possibly the flower. My MOH (my twin sis) says no to all of it. What do you ladies think? Anyone done it or have any other suggestions to tie in the watermelon color on myself?

most photogs will give you a CD, or you can buy it from them. wear whatever you want to tie in pink....but please, not ALL of it. sash + hair flower + shoes  = TOO MUCH. you can always wear bright shoes, and maybe have the color pink matched in your flowers.pinstripe suits are classic....or tacky. it depends on the size of the stripe, the color, and things like that.

Hey!I'm not doing watermelon, but light pink is one of my colors, and I'm obsessed with all things pink.I would say that if your FI wants to wear a pin striped suit, let him!  I mean, he doesn't get a say in your dress, so why should you get to choose his outfit, right?  I think it's great that he actually has ideas and opinions about his outfit, and you should definitely let him wear what he wants.As for the pink accents in your outfit, I love it.  I'm wearing hot pink shoes myself, and I'm so excited about them.  Pic in Bio. If you think it will look good, don't worry about what your MOH has to say.  It will make you happy, and she'll come around!

oh, and about the photog - I think getting a cd of the pics is great, because then you can do whatever you want with them after, but if you really want an album, I would include it in your package.  I know several brides who planned on doing this, and none of them actually have wedding albums.  It seemed like a great project before the wedding, but when it actually came down to doing it, none of them ever completed the project.

Askmetosay- I am aware that most photogs provide CD's but I was asking if anyone had only receive the CD and no actual prints or albums. I defiantly wouldn't wear all of the pink stuff! No worries! I do plan on having pink flowers so I guess I should have mentioned that! As far as the suit it seems that he is leaning toward just a classic white striped one with skinny stripes. Thanks for the input! Boxerfan- I REALLY love pictures and my dream is to become a photographer so I don't think I would fall into the trap of not completing it as other brides you've known. I do know to never say never though! (: We have a pretty small budget so I am trying to get the best deal I can get and it seems that would be the best way to go. A friend from High School recommended one of her friends and that's how she has her service set up. Good philosophy on the grooms suit! Pinstripes it is if that's what he wants! I do think I will end up going withe the pink accents or at least try it our before I say no. If I like it, I'll do it! Thanks for the input on the all of it!

I only purchased the Disc from my photographer. I would do some of the pink but not all of it. I think it would be to much. I wore pink shoes at my own wedding and carried pink flowers. (PIB)   My DH also wore a suit that had stripes. It wasn't pin stripes but there was a subtle striping. Certain stripes really show and some don't. You can go from really hollywood to zoot suit really fast.  If you are looking to buy a suit and have time Jos A Banks runs sales periodically where they are really cheap. My DH got his wedding suit for 250 dollars and it is regularly 900. So you can get a steal.

my 2 BM are wearing watermelon dresses with black accents and my MOH is wearing black dress with a watermelon accent. DB is where I got my dress so I got $20 off each of the BM dresses

Crystal120101- You crack me up. Its so funny that your MOH just said no to ALL of it!! I say flower in hair and shoes.... And I LOVE your idea about printing your own pictures, I'm looking into that too... Boxerfan-- You give really good advice! I'm going to use things you've said on this thread and others. I sold on Pearl's Place.
