RSVP vent

Is it just my people or are people very lazy about getting the RSVP to you? I mean hello I put a date on the invitation for a reason. Maybe that means I need to know how many people will be there considering you pay for each person that comes. Sorry to vent, but I just think it is very rude especially when I sent them out a month in advance. Anyone else having this problem?

Yep!  My RSVP deadline was yesterday, and I'm still waiting to hear back from about 30 people.  Joy.  And why is it that of the 170 people I invited, there are only about 10 that I truly have no idea if they're coming or not, and all of those people haven't rsvp'd.  YOU PEOPLE ARE MAKING THE SEATING CHART VERY DIFFICULT!

i hear ya! we had people not rsvping, rsvping with multiple guests, saying "maybe"  etc ...I'm 3 days out and I'm still confirming with people! We are at about 210 right now. My advice -- 1 week before the wedding, double check with the people you have a feeling might not actually make it. (or be like me and get your fiance to do it. he said he had no problem making a phone call to make sure we weren't paying for an empty chair).we made a few calls and ended up with an additional 10 nos. that got us closer to the number we were hoping for, and saved tons of money.

I'm in the same boat as boxerfan--the people we really don't know about are the ones that haven't responded....so frustrating! We had two respond "and guest" and they weren't invited with one---neither are dating anyone so we contacted them and told them they could not bring their "guest"--especailly since they didn't even know a name to tell us!

That's what your mom's are for. I had them asking people for us. Hey do you know if you'll make it sort of thing. I still had 7 people say they'd be there and not show. ugh.

Ugh, this was my least favorite part of planning! We had about 10 people that we never heard from, but were 99% sure they weren't going to come in the first place. What bothered me was the 17 people that said they were going to be there and never showed!  17!  Don't tell someone you're going to come so they pay for you and then not attend.  Never heard from about 14 of them after the fact...bah.

I think people RSVPing yes and then who are a no-show has to be the rudest thing ever. I think people don't get that you are paying for them. A friend of ours had 60 PEOPLE no-show up at Big Canoe!!! I would be super pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!
