Rent a limo/car or save the money?

I've been getting quotes for renting cars for us to leave our reception in and I'm leaning towards a classic car (like a Rolls or Bentley) instead of a limo but they are soooo expensive! I have one quote for $375/hour (plus tip and tax) and another for $135/hour with a minimum of 3 hours required. Is anyone else finding rides so expensive or do any of you have a company you can recommend? I love the idea of riding off in a vintage car (since my wedding theme is vintage/classic) but I'm not sure I want to spend over $500 for a little joy ride. Are you even renting a car to leave in? Am I being silly for even thinking of renting something when I have a perfectly good car myself we can leave in and save the money for our honeymoon? Help!

I saw the same rates for a Rolls Royce.  Get the car if you want it.  You only have the memories after it's all said and done so if that's the memory that you want, go for it.  We haven't gotten to that stage of planning so I'm not sure what we'll do.

Since both the ceremony and reception are in the same place, I didn't understand why FI had to have some nice car to ride off in.  It was just the one thing he wanted to do for the wedding so I was all for it.  We are using Exotic Car Rental.  They have some decent prices in the grand scheme of things.  I think a Bentley may be like $499 for the day.  FI wants a convertible so after the wedding I can kiss my hairstyle goodbye, LoL.  I'm w/ pp though.  The memories will last forever

We are leaving in a limo. I wanted to do the Rolls Royce, but it was $135 i think for the limo and $345 for the Rolls Royce. I decided not to waste the other money even though my FI really would love it. The car would have just taken us to our hotel which is 30 maybe 45 mins away and I just couldnt justify $345 for 30 mins.

Hrm...a part of me says rent one, and a part of me says save the money.I used A White Rolls Royce - and it was an awful experience (see vendor reviews).  Saw some more negative feedback on them on WeddingWire too.  If you have questions after reading the review, I'd be glad to answer.

OMG..your Bentley was one of the cars I was looking at! Soooo glad I asked before I did anything. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience but I really appreciate you sharing it. Thanks for the information!

No problem.  I'd rather save other brides from having to deal with them.  If you can find a car from another company, or private owner, I'd go that route.  Just don't go with A White Rolls Royce.
