rehearsal dinner???

My fiance and I are having a hard time finding a place for our Rehearsal dinner. His parents live OOT and told us just to find something, cost isn't a huge thing but I'd prefer a place who's rental fee (if any) is under $1,000. We are trying to stay in the buckhead area.  So far we've looked at Maggianos, Canoe, Buckhead Club, Peachtree Club, 103 West, and a country club. It's for about 75 guests and we'd prefer a places that's not a choppy layout so that everything is at least sitting down eating in one big room. Any suggestions? Everytime I find something I like my finace doesn't care for it... I just want to find something that's perfect so I can focus on other things on my to do list. Suggestions are of course very appreciated :)

I've been to a rehearsal dinner at Maggianos and it was excellent. Very classy and elegant. Not to mention the food was great! I would defintely reccomend it.

I am having mine at Mary Macs because a majority of our out of town guests are from the north and we wanted to give them a southern flare. It's less formal than Maggiannos if you want something more casual.

We decided to stay on site because anything outside of Chateau Elan will be a little bit of a drive and not everyone has rental cars....had we gone offsite I was going to do Maggianos as well. I've been there for a rehearsal before too and it was amazing. Our 2nd choice would've be Gordon Biersch also in Buckhead. We thought it'd be cool to have the rehearsal at a brewery since the wedding is at a vineyard.....if you are going a more casual route I like Gordon's alot. They even have a bandstand and a little dancing area....it's right next door to Priscilla of Boston in Buckhead if you want to check it out.

We did Maggianos and they did a great job. The Buckhead Club is also great. Neither has a choppy layout. It sounds like you've looked at a bunch of good places--if you didn't like those I'm not sure what to suggest.

We are having ours at a very modern Italian resturant off Peachtree Street called Brio.  I love the food their and they make setting up the menu for the night very easy!

This isn't in Buckhead, but in Midtown, but Engine 11 has a really cool room upstairs. I know they have tables and chairs as well and a private bar. They may have changed their rate, but last time I checked, they had no rental rate as long as the minimum food and beverage purchases were $500.

We did ours at Studio 887. The service and food was awesome. I highly recommend them! Studio 887 used to be a restaurant, but now is just a place used for event rental. It is not in Buckhead though... West Atlanta area. We didn't pay a rental fee, just the costs for food and drinks. We were so happy with our choice. Good luck!http://boldamerican.com/studio887/

I second Studio 887. We just had our rehersal there in October, and were wowed by the service and the food. It is owned by Bold American Catering (great catering company) and we loved working with them. Jacqui Carlyle is wonderful!
